Welcome to the 2009 edition of The Sunseekers Ball Music & Arts Festival!
With over 40 musical guests, and plenty of workshops and informational booths, the festival has a little something for everyone. Want to learn how to bellydance? Or learn how to make poi? How about bang to the beat of the drum and take part in a HUGE drumcircle?
This will be the fourth year for the festival and we are excited to be back at the same great location as last year. With a picturesque landscape, and a main stage bordering on Retreat Lake, the Sunseekers Ball site is a beautiful piece of property to explore. Lots of fresh berries, nature trails, 2 lakes, and a mountain lookout are just a few of the highlights of the property.
Since we all need to sleep sometimes, there is plenty of camping onsite. Quiet camping is also available for those that need some extra downtime. We encourage people to get creative with their campsites when choosing a spot as well as decorating. There is also a designated area for oversize campers, rv's and van camping. No power or hookups are provided though, so make sure you are propane powered ;)
Although food vendors will be onsite, make sure to bring your own personal cooking stove or bbq so you can be fed and happy all weekend long. Also, make sure to prepare for the elements and bring some warm clothes, plenty of sunscreen, bathing suits (yes...there is swimming) and enough food and supplies to last you for the weekend.
We ask that people refrain from lighting fires, and please remember to leave the glass bottles, and pets at home. Although we love animals, a loud music festival isn't the best place for the pups. Lots of recycling stations will be located around the site and we ask that people try their hardest to sort their trash into the appropriate bins.
Once you park your vehicles, you can feel safe with security guards roaming the parking lots, and trained paramedics on site for any medical emergencies that may arise.
